A Message From The President
It is with great pride that I introduce the Western Reserve Fire Museum and Education Center, downtown Cleveland’s newest attraction. It is ideally located across from Progressive Field, in a historic landmark building that was former Fire Station #28 and the Cleveland Fire Alarm Office and Dispatch Center which operated from 1926 until 2002.
Our Museum will allow visitors to step back in time and explore the rich firefighting history of Northeast Ohio through our rotating exhibits and displays. It will educate the young and old in fire safety and emergency preparedness, as well as, inspire the inventors of tomorrow to develop new technologies in firefighting and fire safety.
It is only through the generosity and continued support of Cleveland and Suburban firefighters, Foundations, Corporations and numerous individuals that our vision has become a reality and our first floor is now open for visitors.
So, I hope you will take a moment to stop by and see all we have to offer.
John Zangerle
President

While located downtown Cleveland, our Mission is to include all of the twelve counties of the “Lands of the Western Reserve” which includes: Erie, Huron, Lorain Medina, Cuyahoga, Summit, Lake, Geauga, Portage, Ashtabula, Trumbull & Mahoning.
